LG’s exciting new superphone was finally announced, and it isn’t holding back as it takes on Samsung and HTC. You want a high resolution screen? You think 1080p looks nice, try Quad HD. And that beautiful screen spans 5.5-inches, with minimal bezel, making the entire device essentially appear like all screen. It’s a beautiful handset—one that is helping to introduce the next big frontier of mobile handsets.

So how can you get your hands on this behemoth? LG on Tuesday said the G3 will be available later this summer through T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores. That’s five different options, ensuring the widest possible availability. The G3 will need it, too, seeing as customers are already clamoring over the S5 and M8. No precise date is being announced just yet—that’ll come later—but the device should be available soon.

As a quick refresher, the G3 sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 538ppi, 13-megapixel camera with OIS+, polished metal skin, removable 3000mAh battery, and a redesigned UI that’s simpler and lighter. As far as current flagships go, LG definitely has our interest, and is really staking its claim as a contender over the next several months. We’ll have impressions of the device soon.
