LG finally announced Tuesday its long-awaited, and bountifully leaked G3 smartphone.  In addition to an upgraded Quad HD display the G3 sports an advanced 13 MP OIS+ camera and improved front-facing camera.

So what makes G3’s camera so spectacular? First off, it uses LG’s new Laser Auto Focus technology, which promises to take clearer, faster photos.  LG promises, fuzzy photos will become a thing of the past.

Additionally, LG claims it has created the best selfie-taking smartphone on the market.  Priorities people! The LG G3’s front shooter is a 2.1 MP camera with a larger sensor and larger aperture.  Perfect for shooting selfies in darker indoor settings. The G3 will also include a new gesture control method to shooting, so no tapping or trying to trigger the awkwardly placed rear button.

Stay tuned for more on the G3, as its features will certainly make it one of the most interesting devices on the year.
