Evleaks on Thursday posted pictures of what is supposedly a Developer Edition of the upcoming LG G3 coming to T-Mobile. The “lunchboxed” term applied to the device apparently has to do with the nondescript casing around the phone—other than that, we get a first-hand look at how sharp the screen is. It’s always difficult to tell just how crisp something is without seeing it in person, but the rumored 2K display certainly looks like it’ll make a difference—and across a lovely 5.5-inch canvas no less.
We’re expecting to see the G3 officially announced next week on May 27. Earlier this week, LG reportedly held a private event to show off some of the G3’s features and, surprise, surprise, slides from that presentation hit the Internet. In the screenshots provided by Evleaks, Android 4.4.2 is confirmed, but that’s about it. This is a Developer Edition, however, so those of you who prefer to have an unlocked bootloader, you’ll have that option.
Other specs of the G3 include a 3000mAh battery, NFC, 13-megapixel camera with OIS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 802 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. From what we’ve heard, the G3 is definitely shaping up to be the best Android phone on the market, and we’re only days away from officially hearing what it’s all about.
