iPhone 6: Here’s iOS 7 Demoed on a 4.7-inch Screen

It seems pretty likely that Apple is going to introduce a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 sometime this fall, finally giving iPhone fans the larger screen they’ve been clamoring for. What will that look like? We’ve seen plenty of dummy units, mockups and more that provide a static glimpse into the future, but 9to5Mac recently took those a step further. The news outlet put an iOS 7 demo on a Moto X, which has a 4.7-inch display, and tossed it behind a dummy unit.

The result shows us what iOS might look like running on a larger display, if Apple decides to simply upscale iOS when it launches a larger-screened iPhone, which is possible. Yes, this is just iOS 7 right now, though we’re expecting new details on iOS 8 during WWDC in early June. The new operating system is largely expected to look the same, however, so this is still a solid representation. As you’ll note, the move to 4.7-inches only makes the iPhone 6 a hair taller than the iPhone 5s, which means it probably won’t be more cumbersome to hold.

Again, this is just a demonstration of what iOS running on a larger-screened iPhone might look like. Maybe someone will take a 5.5-inch Galaxy Note and show us what an even bigger version of the iPhone 6 might look like. Here’s a gallery of some more dummy units showing the larger 4.7-inch iPhone in the meantime:
