Of any gadget in the world of comic books, the Batmobile is always sure to be at the top of the list of the one folks want to own.
Zack Snyder is set to direct the upcoming untitled Batman Vs. Superman film from Warner Brothers which will be a direct sequel to his successful Man of Steel. While the casting of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight in the new film caused quite a stir, the dust has settled and now we’re on to more important things such as what the Batmobile will look like.

Apparently we will get a full view of the Batmobile tomorrow, but at first glance it appears the new version will honor some of the iterations that have come before it. Here’s a couple of things we can notice under the tarp, as well as from its shape.
- The fins look a bit like those seen in Batman Forever, but not quite as over the top.
- The length of the car reminds us a bit of the 1989 and 1992 version Tim Burton used in his films.
- The rear wheels and under carriage definitely invoke the Tumbler model from the recently concluded Christopher Nolan series of films.
The new film is set to be the launch pad for a new series of films which will include – at long last – a Justice League movie, and perhaps this will give us some insight into the design cues that will be followed from here on out.
Tomorrow can’t get here soon enough for Batman fans.
