Motorola Releases New Boot Animation to Celebrate Springtime

Motorola may not be a Google company anymore, but it’s still showing the same creative flair that won us over last year. The company’s latest surprise comes in the form of an updated boot animation which plays when you turn on your phone, running through a quick video to celebrate the end of a long cold winter.

The new boot animation is only available for Moto X and Moto G devices, though you can also watch it via the YouTube video embedded above. It’s just a sleek little animation, but still a nice touch and a reminder that just because Lenovo’s paying the bills now doesn’t mean Motorola will be any different.

The company is expected to release several new devices this summer, including the Moto X+1 flagship phone and the highly-anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch. Today’s little surprise isn’t anywhere near as exciting as a new product launch, but it’s still nice to see Motorola doing something to keep its fans happy.
