Nintendo dropped a 36 minute long Nintendo Direct presentation for the upcoming Mario Kart 8 in our laps this morning. No livestream, no announcement ahead of time, just the video.
Perhaps this is the difference between Nintendo Directs and Nintendo Digital Events from here on out. One is livestreamed, the other is not.
Regardless, the Direct at the top of this post drops all sorts of information regarding the upcoming game, courses, items, character unlocks and more.
Mario Kart 8 will hit the Wii U on on May 30th. There will be a bundle, which you can read about in full right here, for $329 and some special deals to take advantage of.
So, how was the surprise Direct?
