Spotify Updates its Android App with a Darker, Sleeker Design

Earlier this month Spotify rolled out a new look for its music streaming service, introducing a darker design along with a few new features. Now the update is finally available for Android devices, giving the app a fresh look and a significantly improved user interface.

The biggest change is the darkened theme that now pervades the app, along with an updated font and round images. There’s a new Your Music feature that lets you easily drop your favorite songs and albums into one easy-to-access folder. You’ll also see a new album-cover layout for browsing, and improved auto-generated playlists for when you want Spotify to take over song selection.

Spotify says the update will be available for some people today, though it could be a few more weeks before everyone gets it.
