Samsung is likely all set to announce the rumored Galaxy K Zoom at a press event in Singapore, but on Monday the company took to Instagram to tease the device one last time ahead of its official unveiling. The video, which is embedded below, highlights the device’s optical zoom with a close-up of the Red Dot Design Museum where the device will be announced.
Based on previous leaks, the Galaxy K Zoom will feature a curved back panel made from the same dimpled plastic introduced for the Galaxy S5. Overall, it looks a lot sleeker than last year’s bulky Galaxy S4 Zoom, though it still appears to sport a noticeable camera hump. The device is expected to offer a 20-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom as well as a 4.8-inch 720p display, 16GB of onboard storage, and 2GB of RAM. It should arrive running Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung’s own UI on top.
Samsung’s press event kicks off in a matter of hours, so we’ll know what the company officially has up its sleeves in no time.
