You Can Now Bid For Lunch With Tim Cook

Apple - iPad 5 Event - Intro - Tim Cook - 001

Last year CharityBuzz auctioned off a lunch with Apple CEO Tim Cook and, once again, you can bid to sit down with Cook for a quick meal and talk about whatever you want. If you remember, last year the bid went up to about $610,000, though it was marred at one point when someone placed a $605,000 bid on a false credit card. There’s some fine print involved, however.

The lunch is expected to last about an hour, though it’s valid for up to two people. You can’t resell your lunch with Tim Cook if you win, and it’s only valid for a year; oddly enough, it also warns that it may take up to a year to schedule lunch. Tim Cook is a busy guy, after all. Lunch is included in your bid, but travel expenses are not and anyone who wins is subject to a security screening.

Bidding is currently at $62,500, and Charity Buzz values the meal at about $100,000 — even though last year’s winner paid six times that price. Good luck!
