That Glamour Red HTC One (M8) supposedly heading to Verizon just got a bit more real. A rendering of the unofficial (but basically official) handset popped up courtesy of @evleaks on Wednesday, showing off the deep tones of the flagship handset. This isn’t the bright construction worker orange-ish-red we saw with the Nexus 5; this is more sophisticated, like an expensive red wine. It perfectly matches the corporate colors of Verizon.
HTC’s latest flagship hasn’t been out for all that long, so a new color shouldn’t upset early adopters too much. Still, as we’ve said before, the practice of releasing an additional color after initial supply is seeded is a bummer, especially if you really want that swanky new color. You can still get the M8 in silver, gold and dark gray. But those of you on Verizon will get exclusive dibs of a more glamorous red.
It’s unclear when the new color will be available, but chances are you’ll be able to pick it up soon seeing as renders are now turning up. We’re looking for any sort of visual indicators as to when the new color will hit, but so far we’ve come up with nothing. In any case, that red is looking mighty nice draped all over the One’s aluminum body. Can’t wait to see it in person.
