Galaxy K Zoom Leaks Again in New Photos

The Galaxy S5 just hit the market earlier this month, but Samsung isn’t wasting anytime launching its first S5 spin-off. The upcoming device is expected to offer a similar design to the flagship phone with a powerful camera slapped on the back. We’ve already seen one photo of the device, allegedly called Galaxy K Zoom, but today two new photos reveal the new smartphone and its camera in action.

The pictures, which were posted to Chinese search giant Baidu, show a close-up look the the galaxy K Zoom and its rumored 20-megapixel camera with 10x optical zoom. The rest of the device looks pretty similar to the Galaxy S5 with its dimpled back panel, though a clear plastic case protecting the phone makes it a little hard estimate its shape. Overall, the new phone looks a lot sleeker than last year’s bulky Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The Galaxy K Zoom is also expected to pack a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED 720p display, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM and to run Android 4.4.2. It’s definitely a step down from the Galaxy S5’s beastly hardware, and from what we’ve seen Samsung isn’t including HDR imaging either. Samsung will likely fill us in on all of the details during its event on April 29.
