LG hasn’t been as vocal as Motorola when it comes to the first generation of Android Wear devices, but today the South Korean company launched a new website revealing a bit more about the upcoming LG G Watch.
It looks like the G Watch will come in two color options. There’s the mono-color “Stealth Black” model we’ve already seen and a “Champagne Gold” version that features a white wristband, gold trim and the same black-bezeled display. We’re not so crazy about the golden-variant, but maybe it will look better in person.
LG also reveals that the G Watch will offer water and dust resistance, making it perfect for anyone who needs a device that can withstand “rough conditions.” There’s also an always-on display which LG says will never go to sleep. We’re not sure exactly how that works, or how it might affect battery life for the Android Wear device.
The company doesn’t say when the device will launch or how much it might cost. However, a report last month claimed the G Watch would launch this July for under $300, citing an LG representative. We may not know the full story until then, but at least now we know a bit more about the upcoming smartwatch.
