I said that Hearth Forth, Alicia would make a stunning PS Vita game, and apparently plenty of others agree. This includes Starbound developer Chucklefish who wants to aid indie developer Alonso Martin into bringing his “Metroidvania” game to other platforms beyond the PC.
In an update on his Kickstarter page, Martin explained his relationship with the developers.
“Chucklefish Games are a group of talented people helping us with our business responsibilities, marketing, distribution, and although they will not be providing Heart Forth, Alicia with funding at any point, they are opening up the doors for console porting. They’re very nice people, too, and working together has been really smooth because they completely understand the development process of a game.”
Heart Forth, Alicia smashed its requested amount of $60,000 in under a day and is now climbing the ranks of its stretch goals. At $106,000 as of writing, it is only $4,000 away from securing a PlayStation 4 release.
Hopefully, Sony, Chucklefish, and Martin can all worth out a Cross-Buy deal that will land it on Sony’s handheld, which is blooming into a wonderful portable indie gaming machine these days.
Heart Forth, Alicia killed my streak of avoiding Kickstarter games because it just looks that good. There are still 25 days remaining, and up is the only way for this game to go.
