It looks like Apple is already making good on its promise to go even greener than before. The company is set to announce a new recycling initiative, promising to accept all used Apple devices. The new program should kick off on Tuesday as the world celebrates Earth Day 2014, The Associated Press reports.

Apple previously offered gift cards in exchange for some used devices it could refurbish for sale. With the new recycling initiative, however, the company will accept all used products. If the device doesn’t have any resale value you won’t receive a gift card in return, but Apple won’t charge you for any of the recycling costs either.

The news follows a promotional video shared by Apple on Monday focused on the company’s commitment to improving the environment. In the short clip, titled “Better,” CEO Tim Cook promises to use more green materials, reduce wasteful packaging, and keep its products out of landfills. The new recycling program is a solid first step towards one of those promises, though Apple still has plenty of work left to do.
