Batman: Arkham Knight is taking the series back into the hands of its original creators, Rocksteady Studios, and the leap in graphical quality over the previous three games can’t be stated enough. This is a gorgeous game, free from the shackles of the previous generation of consoles, aiming for only the latest and the greatest.
A new batch of screenshots shows the Dark Knight doing what he does best, beating people up. There has never been a short supply of fools who think that they have what it takes to take on Batman, whether it is with guns or any other kind of weapon. He always has an answer for whatever is to come.
Along with the random assortment of thugs Batman is going to have to overcome, plenty of other friends are back for the ride. Two-Face, The Riddler and The Penguin are just the beginning of what we are going to see. One main villain of the game is Scarecrow, but now that the usual parade of evil doers is making a comeback, we have little doubts that he is going to be working alone.
Commissioner Jim Gordon and his daughter Oracle also show their faces for the first time. Batman wouldn’t be half as effective without his support staff.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 14.
