A new set of images purporting to be early stages of the iPhone 6 construction have surfaced on social media.
While the general assumption is that the iPhone 6 will go into production during the summer for a release in Sept., normally we don’t see too many leaks until production actually begins. This time around, however, it seems the whetting of our appetites is starting a bit earlier.
An account on Weibo has posted five images that purport to be detailed drawings of the iPhone 6 along with two images of the die molds for the device. There isn’t a whole lot we can discern from these images as to the size of the device, or any of the finer details, but if they are to be believed we can see that the next iteration of the popular phone is on its way to being a reality.
Although we can’t really see anything in these images, a recent report from Sonny Dickson – the source responsible for the vast majority of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c leaks last year – the iPhone 6 will offer improved specs and a thinner design compared to last year’s model. The device will allegedly come equipped with an “Ultra-Retina” display at 389 ppi, a 2.6GHz A8 processor, iOS 8 and added sensors for activity tracking.
These images follow-up another set of alleged iPhone 6 images that showed up at the end of March. If all of these prove to be true, it seems safe to say that Foxconn has some very serious security issues on its hands.
