inFamous: Second Son Sold 1 Million Copies in 9 Days

Sucker Punch’s open world superhero sequel, inFamous: Second Son, sold 1 million copies in just nine days, Sony has announced.

This total includes the first nine days of release – March 21 to March 29 – and covers both direct download sales and physical discs sold to customers. Launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall took 2 months to sell just over double that. It’s likely that inFamous is the fastest selling title, or at least close to it, to hit the already successful PlayStation 4 platform. According to Sony, it’s also the fastest selling title in the inFamous series as well.

While Second Son doesn’t break the open world mold in any huge way, it’s a solid, fun, and great looking game, and it’s hardly surprising to see it selling so well. Check out our review if you’re not one of the one in six PlayStation 4 owners already enjoying the game.
