It looks like someone from the North American arm of the PlayStation Store just let the proverbial cat out of the bag. Right now, at the time of drafting this post, visiting the PS Store by way of PC lead us to the screen you see above.
There’s a banner ad for The Last of Us Remastered. It’s listed as the “Full Game”selling for the PlayStation 4 at $59.99. It’s a “Day 1 Digital” deal and it’s apparently going to be up for pre-order soon.
Clicking the banner leads to an error page, so Sony’s certainly not ready to let this one loose.
There have been several rumors and indications of a PlayStation 4 version of Naughty Dog’s latest hit, including one high-ranking Sony executive from Europe saying that it would come this summer.
It looks like the game is bound to happen at this point. Seeing a leak like this on Sony’s official store is as close to confirmation as we’ll likely get before an official press release drops.
Would you pick up a remastered version of The Last of Us for the PlayStation 4?
Update: Shuhei Yoshida, president of worldwide studios at Sony Computer Entertainment, confirmed a remastered version of The Last of Us is headed to the Playstation 4. Yoshida said details will be shared with the public shortly. The game is already listed on Amazon for $60, and comes with all DLC along with a commentary track from the game’s cast and developers.
