Azure Striker Gunvolt’s English Website Goes Live

We still have an entire year to go before Inti Creates’ and Mega Man co-creator Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9 gets released, so hopefully this other little gem of theirs will be able to hold us over until then. An English website for Azure Striker Gunvolt has finally gone live, opening up the game to Western audiences for the first time.

This brilliant little action game is a Nintendo 3DS digital exclusive inspired by the underrated Mega Man Zero series. Inafune and Inti Creates collaborated together on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS back in the day, and it doesn’t look like they’ve lost any of their luster. This new English website provides plenty of information on characters, story, and the game’s core mechanics.

No mention is made of a release date, nor has it even been rated yet by the ESRB. Sadly, there has’t been an English trailer available either, but that shouldn’t take too long.

Azure Striker Gunvolt was first announced at BitSummit 2014 in Kyoto, Japan last month. I had a chance to go hands-on with it and couldn’t put it down. If anything, it is an indication of how drop dead amazing Mighty No. 9 is going to be. Thinking about Azure Striker Gunvolt in that light doesn’t do it any justice, though. This is going to be a game that can stand on its own two feet.

Azure Striker Gunvolt will be released for the Nintendo 3DS exclusively through the eShop.
