HP Slate 7 Beats Special Edition Coming Soon?

by Todd Haselton | April 7, 2014April 7, 2014 10:00 pm PST

The HP Slate 7 was unveiled a little over a year ago, and since then the company introduced a secondary HP Slate 7 Plus and an HP Slate 7 Extreme, but there might be an even newer model coming down the pipeline. PhoneArena recently dug up some information on a tablet called the HP Slate 7 Beats Special Edition, which recently surfaced at the Wi-Fi Alliance.

Unfortunately, the listing doesn’t provide any information on what kind of hardware specs we can expect, or what makes it different from the Slate 7, Slate 7 Plus or Slate 7 Extreme. It does, however, say it will pack Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. But what else?

We’ll wager a guess just for kicks. With Beats Music on the scene now, it’s possible HP will sell a limited edition tablet pre-loaded with the music service, and perhaps with some sort of additional pre-loaded music content and a special color or hardware design. Maybe it will even come prepackaged with Beats headphones. That’s purely speculation, though, and we don’t even know if this device will ever launch.

We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop if anything else on the HP Slate 7 Beats Special Edition surfaces. Any guesses on what it might pack?
