An extended look at the upcoming Godzilla reboot was released on Saturday, giving us our best look yet at the humungous monster. The most recent trailers have given us some hints at what to expect in regards to the plot, but this one focuses more on the mystery surrounding what the heck is actually going on. We find out that Brian Cranston’s character, Joe Brody, goes through a pretty traumatic situation—and he wants some dang answers. As do we.

The monster does quite a bit of damage in the short two and a half minute video, from storming beaches to destroying cities. We still don’t really know how these characters plan to fight back—a lot of the shots we see seem to focus on how people react upon first seeing just how big the monster is. And we still get a quick shot of another possible monster, which has been hinted at in the past.

Movie season is beginning to churn out some big blockbusters as we head toward summer, and this one definitely doesn’t look like it’ll disappoint when it lands on May 16.
