Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is not the only game in the legendary series seeing a release this spring. Indie developer Andrei Mishanin has “demade” the PlayStation classic as it would appear on a 2-bit Game Boy Screen, and his work is available for free through a browser.

Much like the actual game, this demake is all about stealth, not unlike other recent 2D stealth games Mark of the Ninja, Gunpoint, and Stealth Inc.. Snake can jump, crawl, hide from guards, and sit and wait in the grass, and sticking to tradition, he can also get long winded codec calls from his allies across the world.

The game is only 10 – 15 minutes long and delivers all the action and drama you can expect from a Metal Gear Solid game in the closing minutes. Give it a chance if you have a little time to kill.
