Sprint just sent out press invites for an event on April 29 in New York City, where we’re invited to meet with CEO Dan Hesse. The invite says “Hear if For Yourself,” and while that might seem esoteric, it’s pretty clear that the carrier is probably going to discuss its HD Voice roll-out, which is set to take place this summer.
Sprint offers HD Voice services in Kansas City right now, but Hesse recently promised that starting in July the carrier will activate the service across the country. Sprint already has more than 24 phones that support HD Voice, and we expect it will talk about the benefits of HD voice, discuss how it works in more detail, and when/where it will start bringing some of its first markets online in July. Typically, at these sorts of events, we’ll also get a demo of the product — which suggests Sprint might be bringing the service up in New York City ahead of time.
TechnoBuffalo will be there to bring you the coverage – loud and clear.
