These GBA Game Trailers for Wii U Have Me Hungry for Advance Wars

Fire Emblem: Awakening was great and all, but what do I have to do to get another Advance Wars game from Nintendo? What’s it going to take?

We had Advance Wars on the Game Boy Advance. That game is getting a Virtual Console release on the Wii U on April 3. You’ll find its trailer above.

Nintendo’s finally putting Game Boy Advance games on its Virtual Console service for real. They’re doing it on the Wii U, not the 3DS, a point that both Ron and I find odd. We’ll probably be talking about that in editorial form tomorrow.

The other games announced so far? It’s a solid list, actually. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is hitting on April 3 as well.

Metroid Fusion is the third title to release on April 3.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror drops on April 10.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! also comes out on April 10.

There are even more games slated for April, though their trailers haven’t been released yet.

I’ll be snagging Advance Wars, of course. I’m excited to play through it again. But, honestly, I hope the VC release does well enough to get Nintendo to take another crack at the series.

I love those games.
