If you found yourself lusting for HTC Sense 6.0 during the company’s presentation today, but you have an older phone, don’t fret, it’s coming soon for some of you.
During the presentation for the HTC One (M8) today in New York, the Taiwanese company confirmed that the newest version of its popular Android skin will be appearing on some of its older models as well. HTC Sense 6, also referred to by the company as “Sixth Sense,” will be making its way to the HTC One, HTC One mini and HTC One Max. It didn’t give an exact time frame as to when you may say it appear beyond saying “soon.”
Seeing as HTC has promised two year’s of support for its devices – far longer than most companies attempt – this isn’t a huge surprise, but it’s nice to know that it does intend to live up to that guarantee.
While many Android skins have a huge amount of vitriol hurled at them, HTC Sense has been a definite exception. From our brief time with the phone, we can already say Sixth Sense is clearly the best version yet, and for those of you on last year’s devices, it’s something to be excited for.
