HTC moves quick. The company just announced the HTC One (M8) and in just a little bit it’s going to be available in Verizon Wireless stores and online from AT&T, Sprint. It’s also going to be available from various retailers in the United Kingdom today. Meanwhile, the phone will hit T-Mobile USA sometime next month. Yep – looks like HTC got its flagship to the market before the Galaxy S5, and we wonder what kind of repercussion that may have on Galaxy S5 sales.
Under the hood, you’ll find a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, a brand new HTC UltraPixel camera with Duo Camera technology that allows you to tweak the focus of your shots, 2GB of RAM, a 2,600mAh battery and more. It also features a larger 5-inch 1080p display and a beautiful all aluminum unibody design. In fact, 90 percent of the phone’s back panel is metal, whereas just 70 percent of the original One back panel was metal.
The HTC One (M8) will set you back $199.99 with a new two-year contract and with 16GB of storage, though that price may vary by $50 depending on the carrier (HTC said some outlets will sell it for $249.99 with a new two year contract).
