I really appreciate Sony and its PlayStation arm for what they’re doing with the Cross-Buy initiative. I especially like the whole thing because of the PlayStation 4’s inability to play PlayStation 3 games.
Hotline Miami, the original game, is being developed for the PlayStation 4. That, in and of itself, is pretty great. The extra good news? It’s part of the Cross-Buy program. If you own Hotline Miami on the PlayStation 3 or PS Vita, it’ll be waiting for you to download on the PlayStation 4.
All glory to the Hypnotoad, my friends.
Of course, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is still on pace for a PlayStation 4 release. That sequel is also currently bound for the PS Vita, PC, Mac and Linux platforms. Nothing else has been announced for it.
We will have a chance to check out Wrong Number at PAX East in a few short weeks, so stay tuned for our coverage of that.
Will you be taking advantage of this Cross-Buy action?
