Game Studio Insomniac Celebrates 20 Years, Makes Music Video

Insomniac Games, the studio responsible for memorable titles such as Spyro the Dragon and the Ratchet & Clank series, as well as the upcoming Sunset Overdrive celebrated its 20th anniversary in February.

To celebrate, they’ve released a silly grunge-rap music video meant to work simultaneously as a fan tour, recruitment advertisement, and celebratory piece for the studio.

The song highlights some of the company’s best games and, of course, makes no mention of Fuse.

As Kotaku notes, Insomniac has spent time making exclusives – Ratchet & Clank have only ever appeared on Sony consoles and Sunset Overdrive is an Xbox One exclusive, but the studio is still an independent studio and has managed to last quite a while as one. That on its own is worth celebrating.

So get ready for from grunge-rap and watch the video. It’s not the worst song I’ve ever heard, and I look forward to Ted Price shaving half his head 20 years from now to do a mashup of dubstep and whatever kind of music we’re listening to in two decades.
