LG wearable stylus leak

When we say wearable technology you might think of a smartwatch or Google Glass, but a stylus? Probably not. LG may be looking to change that with what looks like some sort of slap bracelet stylus, based on an image leaked earlier today by trusted tipster @evleaks showing the mysterious device in action.

The idea of a large stylus that wraps around your wrist sounds a little silly, even if it comes in multiple colors and looks somewhat stylish. If LG wants to release a stylus it should follow Samsung’s lead and pack a much smaller one into the phone itself. It’s also possible this mystery wearable could be more than just a stylus. If LG packs some sensors into the device it could also serve as a fitness tracker, seamlessly transmitting recorded information via Bluetooth while wrapped around your wrist. Given its super simple design, however, we’re guessing that’s not going to be the case.

There’s no guarantee this bizarre-looking product will ever see the light of day. The images shared by @evleaks look more like computer-generated concepts than photos of an actual product. Still, it’s always fun to get a glimpse at what the world’s biggest tech companies are dreaming up, though in this case it might not be a bad idea for LG to leave this one on the drawing table.
