Just last week we had the best look yet at Samsung’s S Band fitness tracker. The device will probably sit below the Gear Fit in price, considering it lacks the AMOLED display, but it has enough features to still make it compelling.
We already know that it will help users track calories burned, steps taken, sleep patterns and more. It will also have a basic tie-in with smartphone alerts, though they’ll provide far less information than Samsung’s Gear Fit and Gear smartwatches. Now, we have the best look yet at Samsung’s new fitness band thanks to fresh photos and a hands-on video.
In a 53 second video from Stereopoly Blog, we get a quick tour of the gadget. It appears that it can be used either in a wrist band or a clip holster, and there are small LED alerts running along the top of the device, what appears to be a power button on the right, and what looks strikingly similar to a heart rate monitor on the left-side of the device. It will work with S Health 3.0, though we don’t see any sort of demonstration in this clip. The video is in German, however, so we weren’t able to understand the complete walkthrough.
As for the price? Amazon’s German site already has the device listed for €79.90, but Slashgear says it can be had for as little as €49.90 if you use a credit card for checkout. Oddly, Samsung has yet to confirm the device in any capacity and declined a request for comment from TechnoBuffalo.
