The Last of Us has been out for nearly a year now, and Naughty Dog is still singing its praises. The PlayStation 3 exclusive won Game of the Year at the BAFTA awards, The Last of Us: Left Behind was released to high praise, and the game has hit a new sales benchmark.
In case you haven’t heard, this game is a massive hit, not just critically but financially as well. Naughty Dog reports that the game has sold six million copies since launch, an amazing feat for a console exclusive in this age of mixing and matching. We were big fans when it was released, and it still haunts our memories on occasion.
Naughty Dog will continue trumpeting its accolades until it shifts gears to get us all hyped again for another Uncharted game on the PlayStation 4. It plans to reveal many of its techniques at GDC, and it is also planning to advise on the live action film that will retell its unforgettable story.
