Yesterday’s paring of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. Moto X resulted in a very close finish. The Moto X eventually won the round and will now face off against today’s winner between the Sony Xperia Z2 and the BlackBerry Z30.
Editor’s Note: In a previous version, we noted the Galaxy Note 3 won. However, it was stated incorrectly and the Moto X did indeed win.
The Sony Xperia Z2 has quite a bit going for it, with a beautiful 5.2-inch display, a speedy quad core processor and 3GB of RAM onboard. The Sony Xperia Z1 certainly surprised us and it appears each new iteration of the Xperia smartphone solidifies Sony as a serious contender in the space.
The BlackBerry Z30 certainly looks the part of a flagship smartphone, while the display is 5-inches it falls short against higher resolution displays. The Z30 packs on 2GB of RAM, 1.7 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro Chip, 16 GB of storage.
Which device do you see winning this round? The Sony Xperia Z2 or the BlackBerry Z30? You decide.
Xperia Z2 Hands-On
The Xperia Z2 has a brilliant 5.2-inch 1080p screen, and unlike earlier flagships it doesn’t have the filmy-look on top that helps prevent it from water damage. We love the aluminum stripes running down the sides, though in general we didn’t feel overly blown away holding this as opposed to the Xperia Z1 – in terms of change.
