Normally, it’s eye-rollingly heavy handed when big companies fight, like Microsoft’s “scroogled” campaign. When Sony delivers a burn, though, it always seems to be coming from a human being, not a marketing-approved ad campaign.
This time, Sony VP of Publishing Adam Boyes is back to comment on Microsoft’s indie publishing parity clause that requires that they release on Xbox One the same day they release on other platforms. Microsoft says they’re handling the clause “case by case,” and the clause is easily circumvented by going in with a pre-existing exclusivity deal, but developers still perceive it as annoying and restrictive.
Boyes wants to remind potential developers about the various restrictions in their deal, and offers up the following:

You might also remember Boyes from Sony’s “How to Trade Games on PlayStation 4” video, which was meant to roast the all-digital vision Microsoft had for Xbox One back at E3 2013.
While guys like Marc Whitten and Phil Spencer help Microsoft’s image, Boyes and Sony Computer Entertainment President Shuhei Yoshida have been doing an impressive job of giving the monolithic hardware company a human image to fans with videos like these, along with Yoshida streaming himself playing games like Outlast on Twitch.
