Google on Wednesday issued an update to its Google Wallet app for iOS and Android, introducing a new feature called Orders. The latest version of the app essentially allows users to easily track online orders, receive notifications about status updates and track past orders right there in the app. As noted by Android Central, users were already able to track orders through the Google Wallet website, though porting the feature to mobile obviously makes it more convenient. The new feature is currently limited to the U.S.-only.
Orders works a lot like Google Now’s tracking card, though it’s a bit more in-depth since you can look at all your pending and past online orders in one place. In addition to the new Orders feature, Google Wallet also makes it easier to add loyalty programs—simply scan your card and the info will automatically populate. Google also said the app received the typical performance enhancements.
