HTC’s take on the flip cover will come in many different shades, according to another picture from @evleaks. In addition to the plain old black, it appears HTC will offer its quick glance cover (we’ll just call it that) in green, a reddish-orange and blue. This will be a nice way to spice up the variety of HTC upcoming M8, which should also come in a hue of different colors as well. The render still shows a similar time and weather, so it’s still unclear if the colors change at all, or if you’ll be able to see any time of notifications (upcoming calendar appointments, for example).
With Samsung’s S5 announcement already out of the way, HTC has the stage all to itself unless the Korean company suddenly chimes in. This and the S5 are among the the most anticipated Android devices this year, with the Note 4, Nexus 6 and maybe something from Motorola also on that list. By and large, this is the device a lot of people will be most looking forward to, particularly given how great the HTC One was last year. This by all appearances looks to build on much of the foundation HTC set last year, with a dual-camera arrangement as one of the biggest changes.
HTC has an event scheduled for March 25, so we’re only a few weeks away from learning every last detail about the flagship Android handset. We’ve been seeing hints that the M8, or All New One, is blazing through benchmark tests behind the scenes, so the hype for this is certainly hitting a fever pitch. Oh, and, we’re also hearing the M8 will also get a Google Play Edition, as if you weren’t already excited about this device enough. We’ll find out soon enough here.
