Walmart rolled out a new set of discounts on some of the most popular smartphones on the market today. The retail chain reached out to TechnoBuffalo and confirmed price drops for the iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s and Galaxy S4.
Starting today, the iPhone 5s price is being dropped to $119 on-contract from $145. The iPhone 5c is going for just $29 (down from $45), and the Galaxy S4 has been priced at $49 (formerly $99). In order to take advantage of those prices, however, you’ll need to sign on for a new two-year contract with either AT&T or Verizon. The deal applies to new lines in addition to upgrades, and Walmart says it will last for at least 30 days.
Walmart also had two other promotions to announce. Pick up a any new Samsung smartphone, including the Galaxy S4, between March 9 and March 22 and you’ll get a free $50 gift card, provided that you also sign a new two-year contract. Finally, the company notes you can still trade in your current device for as much as $300 toward the purchase of a new phone. Walmart will then issue a gift card that can be used in its stores or in Sam’s Club locations with the balance of the difference.
