It’s just a couple of months since Asus introduced its latest Transformer product, the Transformer Book Duet TD300, but a new rumor suggests fresh tablet-laptop hybrids could be in the Taiwanese company’s pipeline. Italian site Notebook Italia reports that Asus is developing two new variants with the model numbers TF103 and TF303.
Both models will reportedly run Android 4.4 and pack Intel Bay Trail processors, full HD 10-inch displays, detachable QWERTY keyboards, and the long-lasting battery that’s been a staple of the Transformer Pad series. The TF103 is expected to be a cheaper version of the TF303, though it’s unclear what hardware will be used to differentiate the two models.
A set of alleged leaked photos show the new design from the front and the back. Apparently both variants will be identical on the outside, offering a sleek design that mixes plastic and metal materials. The speakers have also been moved to the front of the design while the keyboard looks improved over older models based on these pictures.
There’s no word on when either model will hit the market, if ever, but we’ve been big fans of the company’s Transformer products in the past and are looking forward to what’s in store.
