Alien: Isolation Screenshots – Remnants of Ash

SEGA has released a batch of new screenshots for Alien: Isolation, but the titular alien is noticeably not present in a single one on them. He’s nothing more than a blip on Amanda Ripley’s sensor, a tool which helps her track the beast and constantly reminds her of her pursuer’s presence.

The Creative Assembly also lifts one of the more iconic images from the film franchise: that of a forcibly disassembled android with his inner components and organs leaking from his body. Fans of Alien and Aliens are sure to recall the state in which Ash met his end in this first film and how Bishop closed out the second movie.

Alien: Isolation will bring the series back to its horror roots found in the first movie and distance itself from the action packed route it took with its sequels and subsequent video games. With a talented studio like The Creative Assembly behind it, this could be the best game the franchise has seen yet.

I know better than to get my hopes too high for an Alien game, though. We’ll see how Alien: Isolation turns out when it releases for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC this fall.
