Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Sees Pre-emptive Price Cut on Xbox One and PS4

A few weeks back, word got out regarding the length of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The prequel was shown off, in full, to the folks at Game Informer in Japan.

They reported that they were able to complete the main line of game in roughly two hours of play.

Konami has always been clear about the fact that Ground Zeroes was pretty much a test-bed and training ground for the full experience that will be Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. However, this prequel was only two hours long and set to cost $40 in physical form and $30 in digital on the new consoles.

That didn’t sit well with fans.

It looks like Konami has responded. The company has announced that the new price for the physical versions of Ground Zeroes on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will now be $29.99, putting them in line with the digital versions on the new machines and the physical flavors on the old.

The digital editions for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will remain at $19.99.

Does the new price make this game a bit more palatable for you?
