Kiefer Sutherland Starring in New Mortal Kombat Game

Mortal Kombat

Kiefer Sutherland seems to be making video games a permanent fixture in his career. The 24 actor has revealed that he will be voicing a character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat game, but stopped short of naming who.

In an interview with IGN, Sutherland all but confirmed his role, and the game itself which remains unannounced, when being asked about his plans after Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

“I did Mortal Kombat, and that’s such a huge game, but it’s so not like [Metal Gear Solid 5].”

Kiefer Sutherland made video game headlines last year when he was controversially chosen to play the role of Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain over long time actor David Hayter.

He got his first taste of video game voice acting in 24: The Game, and the job obviously stuck with him because he made his way back into the recording booth to play Reed Roebuck in Call of Duty: World at War.

The Hollywood invasion is real, folks!

Any guesses as to who he will be playing? Mine is that a Hollywood actor of his recognition would not settle for anything less than the most popular character, meaning he will be taking over yet another iconic vocal role by playing Scorpion. I wonder how he is going to handle the “Get over here!”
