Level-5’s Weapon Shop de Omasse Out Today on Nintendo 3DS, Here’s the Launch Trailer

For every NPC and would-be hero in the RPG world, there’s a humble blacksmith making weapons to wield against monsters and beasts. Weapon Shop de Omasse from Level-5, the same studio behind Professor Layton and Ni no Kuni, puts players in the shoes of one apprentice blacksmith as he re-opens a shop with the intention to rent weapons to local warriors.

You’ll earn customers, learn about their fighting traits and engage in rhythm based mini-games to craft high-quality weaponry that meets their needs. Then, you’ll pay attention to their questing details by way of Grindcast, an in-game social feed that tells the blacksmiths how their heroes are doing.

Do you have what it takes to build up a master class shop before the Evil Lord returns to the realm? It’ll take a whole lot of rhythm. Weapon Shop de Omasse is available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop starting today.

We’re currently playing through the title with a review copy we received a few days back. Expect our thoughts on Weapon Shop de Omasse either tomorrow or early next week.

For now, know that it’s as fun as it is odd. This is quite an enjoyable little title. It doesn’t hurt that it came straight out of left field.
