We’ve seen quite a few leaks of the suspected follow up the the HTC One over the last few days, but even moreso than the renders and blurry images of the navigation buttons, this new shot looks like the real deal. A full image of an actual phone. Could this be the true HTC M8?
Several obvious changes jump out right away. Gone are the two buttons from the HTC One, now replaced with a more standard on-screen three button layout. The light sensors above the display have also been moved just next to the front-facing camera, which is on a par with earlier leaks, and we still have the front-facing BoomSound speakers intact – great news for fans of that feature on the HTC One. We can also see an app for controlling your TV, which suggests that the IR blaster will still be included on the M8.
Sadly, we still can’t see the back of the phone in this picture, but we’re also expecting a dual-camera setup, one that might allow you to refocus images after you’ve snapped them. Now we just have to wait for an official announcement. Thoughts? Hopes? Dreams?
