iPhone 6 Concept Renders Show Off Larger Display Choices

More than just a couple of rumors have suggested that Apple is toying with the idea of launching the iPhone 6 with larger displays. One such rumor pointed to two models: one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a phablet-worthy 5.5-inch display. What would those look like? Nobody really knows for sure, though one artist, Federico Ciccarese, recently created concept images showing off some examples.

You can color us impressed. Ciccarese clearly imagines some very high-end handsets, complete with edge-to-edge displays and Touch ID resting in the home button. From the front the phones look mostly like larger versions of the iPhone 5s, though moving around the unit you can see Ciccarese imagines a full aluminum body with beautiful curves and a super thin design. The Lightning port and dual-speaker setup is intact on the bottom of the phone, though it appears the 3.5mm headphone jack has been re-imagined back to the top of the device.

Keep in mind these are just mock-ups, but boy are they beautiful. Apple’s iPhone 6 – if it’s even called that – isn’t expected until later this year, around September. The most recent reports have suggested Apple will also add a sapphire element to the screen, making it stronger and more scratch resistant than ever before.
