PlayStation Plus Subscriptions have Tripled Since PlayStation 4 Launch

PlayStation Plus

PlayStation Plus is one of the best deals on the market. More free content than you know what to do with and discounts on other games everywhere you turn. Perhaps that is one reason why PlayStation Plus subscriptions have tripled since the launch of the PlayStation 4.

During a PlayStation conference in England, PlayStation UK General Manager Fergal Gara provided a graph during his presentation which showed the massive spike after the launch of the latest console in November.

Good deals aside, the spike can almost certainly be attributed to the fact that PlayStation Plus is now required to play online games through Sony consoles. Plus, it is also available through not one but three active consoles, the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita.

It is now PC or bust for whatever people said they would never pay for online gaming. When pressed with no other option, PlayStation fans have proven that they don’t mind forking over the money to play with friends, just as long as they get a little something extra besides.
