LG is building on the success of the LG G2 camera by taking all that it has learned to the next step with the G Pro 2. The company has released a few details on the photo capabilities of its upcoming smartphone, which it confirmed will be announced sometime this month, likely during Mobile World Congress.
The G Pro 2 will sport a 13 megapixel camera and use technology LG calls “OIS Plus,” or an improved version of the Optical Image Stabilization technology for those with trembling hands. Besides that, the smartphone will allow for a new 20-shot burst mode which will combine images for new effects. As for video, LG will be equipping the phone with 1.4 times slow motion video and Ultra High Definition (UHD) which takes video at 3840 x 2160. The G Flex already records in this resolution, though we imagine there are additional improvements to the G Pro 2’s camera sensor.
