Square Enix’s Murdered: Soul Suspect has been going under a lot of radars, but it’s one of my most anticipated games of the year. Maybe it will start to get a little more exposure now that it is next-gen bound.
Square Enix and Airtight Games have confirmed that the game will be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 alongside the planned releases on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
In addition to the announcement, Square Enix also revealed the box art showing off the plot’s main crime scene and the ghastly protagonist riddled with bullet holes and donning a silly fedora. Not overly flashy, but you get the idea of what the game is about at least.
Murdered: Soul Suspect follows the afterlife of a murdered detective trying to bring justice to his killer. He has a limited amount of time before darkness swallows his soul, so not even the safety of death protects him from solving this mind bending thriller. It is scheduled for release in Q2 of 2014 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
