A very bright, very red press render of the Nexus 5 has leaked, all but confirming the device’s imminent arrival. Just the other day, we saw convincing confirmation that the device would be released on Tuesday, February 4, and this latest picture—which actually doesn’t provide any new clues that I can see—might be the final piece of evidence. The Nexus 5 is already available in black and white, and the addition of red really makes the handset pop. From what we can tell, everything about the device is unchanged save for the color.
No other details were provided by Evleaks, so we’re still going to assume the device is coming out next week. The mobile market saw an influx of bright colors last year, and it appears that trend will live on in 2014—not that that’s a bad thing. The Nexus 5 in red looks quite nice in the render, though we’ll have to wait and see what it looks like in real life before making a final judgement.
When the device does launch, we expect it to be available in 16GB and 32GB iterations, and go for $349 and $399, respectively.
