LG confirmed on Monday that a successor to last year’s Optimus G Pro would debut next month, and today we got a first look at the device thanks to a pair of leaked photos. The pictures come courtesy of Korean forum DC Inside, and appears to confirm the new phablet will offer the same rear buttons introduced with the LG G2 and G Flex.
There’s no way to know exactly how large the G Pro 2 will be, though based on these photos it’s clearly a big step up from the 5.2-inch LG G2. A report from last week claimed the device will feature a 6-inch display along with 3GB of RAM and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The new phablet is also expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with LG’s own custom UI on top.
With Mobile World Congress set to take place next month, the Barcelona trade show should be the perfect opportunity for LG to unveil its next big smartphone. TechnoBuffalo will be covering the event live, so stay tuned for our full coverage starting Feb. 24.
