Samsung is already the king of the phablet market, but it appears that the company will increase its stake in that category even more in 2014.

Following up on its recent quarterly earnings report, Samsung’s Executive Director Hyunjoon Kim stated on a conference call with reporters and analysts that the company was going to focus more of its releases on handsets with screens in the 5 to 6-inch range. This would seem to indicate that Samsung will expand its Galaxy Grand and Galaxy Mega lines, and not just the Galaxy Note phablets.

Beyond focusing on just the physical dimensions of the phones, Kim also said that that Samsung would be working on improving some of its key features such as Multi-Window and S Pen functionality.

While we’re used to Samsung releasing many new handsets through out the year, it seems we may be in for ones that will continue to stretch the boundaries of just how big is big enough when it comes to your phone.
